Anderson v1 pg294 - letter #278

       P.S.

Since I realized that perhaps your people will not understand the slightest alteration mentioned in my last along letter, I will send you on better paper by letter post, in order to avoid delay, the third movement copy out in small writing, that is to say, only the violin part, so that there may be no misunderstanding –– so as to have the other works absolutely correct, the best arrangement would certainly be for you to send me first, at any rate, the copies together with my manuscript. Then, if there are any mistakes, I would mark them for you and they could be corrected at once ––

As there is too little time, I cannot deal with all the other points in detail today ––

Tomorrow or the day after you will receive the copy of the movement together with my reply to the other points in your letter––

I send you my very best wishes.
                                                  Your most devoted friend
                                                                                            Beethoven
